On December 29, 2021, Federal Law No. 274-FZ dated July 1, 2021 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" and the Federal Law "On State Fingerprint Registration in the Russian Federation" entered into force. In accordance with the provisions of this Law, foreign citizens who entered the Russian Federation after December 29, 2021, are subject to mandatory state fingerprint registration, photographing, and medical examination and must have supporting documents to legally stay in the Russian Federation: ● A document confirming that a foreign citizen or a stateless person has passed mandatory state fingerprint examination. registration and photographing – It is issued by the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and is a laminated form (card) with a photo image and the owner's identification data. ● Medical examination documents issued by authorized medical organizations. The following sanctions may be applied to persons who have not passed the established procedures or who have passed them in violation of the deadline: an administrative fine, a reduction in the period of stay of a foreign citizen in Russia.
