Moscow
Moscow is the capital of Russia and the largest city in the country. This is a huge metropolis, which is the historical, political and spiritual heart of the Russian Federation. Moscow is the largest capital of Europe, filled with sights, historical and cultural monuments, as well as world-class museums. It is a city of incredible dynamics and size that cannot be captured in one trip.
Moscow is a charming modern city with a huge number of attractions and interesting places: from an ancient fortress and grandiose cathedrals to beautiful parks and futuristic skyscrapers. The capital of Russia has existed for about nine centuries. On its streets you can find ancient sacred monuments and palaces, which are adjacent to monumental buildings of Soviet architecture and ultramodern structures. But Moscow is not only famous for this. The capital has a huge number of theaters, museums, galleries, as well as great restaurants, cozy cafes and trendy clubs. Therefore, Moscow is able to keep any tourist busy for a long time.
Urals
  • The Urals is a region of Russia located at the junction of Asia and Europe. Its mountain ranges serve as a natural boundary between these parts of the world.
  • Climate: mountainous, with uneven precipitation distribution. There is more precipitation west of the Ural Mountains, and the climate is milder and wetter. There is much less precipitation to the east, and the climate is drier.
  • Nature: the Ural plains and the Urals itself are characterized by taiga and mountain landscapes. Dark coniferous taiga reigns on the western slopes and in the Urals, mixed and deciduous forests grow in the south of the region, deciduous forests grow on the eastern slopes.
Siberia
Siberia is a huge region of Russia, which is characterized by a sharply continental climate with harsh winters and cool summers. Winters in Siberia are long and cold, with average air temperatures in January being around -20°C, but in some areas they can drop to -50°C or lower. Summers are short and cool. The average air temperatures in July are about +20 °C. Such differences between winter and summer create a unique climate in this region.
Due to the large area of Siberia, the climate varies in different parts of it. The southern parts, such as Altai and Baikal, have a more temperate climate, while the northern parts, such as Yakutia and Taimyr, have a harsh subarctic climate.
Saint-Petersburg
