Moscow State Institute of Culture
The Moscow State Institute of Culture (until November 7, 2014 — Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, MGUKI) is a federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education providing professional training in the field of culture and art and subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. It is located in the Moscow suburb of Khimki, in the Levoberezhny microdistrict.
The Institute was founded in 1913 as Library Courses within the structure of the A.L. Shanyavsky National University. Currently, he carries out educational, research, cultural and educational activities at all levels of pre-university, higher, postgraduate, secondary specialized and additional education in a wide range of humanitarian fields of knowledge.

В 2006 году университет был удостоен награды Клуба ректоров Европы European Quality Award.
Начиная с 2002 года университет издаёт научный журнал «Вестник МГУКИ», включённый ВАК РФ в перечень ведущих рецензируемых научных журналов и изданий. Всего университет издаёт более 300 наименований научной, учебной и учебно-методической литературы ежегодно.
В университете действуют различные студенческие объединения (киноклуб, исторический клуб, студенческий совет, научное студенческое общество).
В ноябре 2014 года приказом Министерства культуры Российской Федерации переименован в Московский государственный институт культуры.
Начиная с 2002 года университет издаёт научный журнал «Вестник МГУКИ», включённый ВАК РФ в перечень ведущих рецензируемых научных журналов и изданий. Всего университет издаёт более 300 наименований научной, учебной и учебно-методической литературы ежегодно.
